Poll question: NYC or LA, which is the more fun/exciting/enjoyable city?
Edited on Fri May-28-04 10:03 AM by Bombtrack
Pretty straigtforward. Place where a better time can be had

Here are the choices, because I don't want to just get a view skewed from alot of people who are biased by being from one or the other so I have to expand the choices

1 - NYC, and I'm not a New Yorker or from the surrounding area, or have been one for a large part of my life

2 - LA, and I'm not an Angelino or from the surrounding area, or have been one for a large part of my life

3 - NYC, and I'm from the area or have lived there for a large part of my life

4 - LA, and I'm from the area or have lived there for a large part of my life

5 - I dunno

3. I've lived in many different states, best state....
Arizona. There are lots of places for the young to party, family fun and for the elderly. There's beautiful sunshine everyday. In winter, you can drive from Phoenix up to the mountains within two hours and ski. You can sit outdoors without those damn mosquitos biting the hell out of you, like in Florida. The freeways are new and beautifully decorated with native American art.

You can drive 4 hours to Las Vegas, 6 hours to Los Angeles, 3 hours to New Mexico. Now, don't brake the law or you'll be wearing pink underwear from Sheriff Joe Alpageo.

Arizona has one of the best governors ever; Democrat Janet Napolitano.

This is not an invite for you to move out here...please visit, enjoy and get out. We're getting too crowded.

4. NYC
I'm from Boston, so I am biased. Though I spent 15 years in Southern California. L.A. as a "city" doesn't exist. There are so many "parts" of the county that many qualify as the city, but truth be told, you would definiely need a car to get from one place to another. NYC is compact and easier to get around, and if you've been drinking or otherwise "enjoying" yourself, transport is a cab, bus or subway station away. Yep--NYC without a doubt.

7. Angelino for NYC
As far as LA being "boring" far from it. There are plenty of fun things to do in LA. Great night life, great weather. Most people when they think of LA all they can think of is Disneyland and places like that.

But I happen to LOVE New York, but my city ain't chopped liver either.

17. Born in New York...raised in So Cal
New York is a GREAT city to party IN ...probably one of the most vibrant...and I LOVE in your face New Yorkers much more than phony west coasters that are preoccupied with how good they look...but the benefits of the left coast are that one can be in the city one hour, at the beach the next,,,,in the desert the next and in the mountains the next....

You can suntan, waterski and snow ski all in the same day if you were so inclined.
