Edited on Fri May-28-04 10:56 AM by bearfan454
HEB has briskets for .99 a lb. I got a 14 pounder. We will have brisket smoked over mesquite wood, corn on the cob, pasta salad, and baked beans. What are you having ? I'm the cook over here. I do the dishes too.

11. What is this ?

Grilled Linguica
Chourice a bom biero

My family is from Spain. I never heard of Linguica and I suppose Chourice is kind of like Spanish sausage in Chicago.

13. yep, is a kind of sausage
Edited on Fri May-28-04 12:59 PM by BigMcLargehuge
"a bom biero" is a way of cooking it over an open alcohol fire :)

Linguica is sausage too... both pork, both from bits and pieces. Linguica means "tongue" sausage. Both red, kinda dry, spicy... Mmmmmmmmm....

15. I love walleye Mrs Grumpy.
I have taken my son fishing from here in Tx all the way to NW Ontario.
We went 3 times in the early 90's. I had some walleye for the first time in about 7 years recently in Chicago. It was filet's broiled in garlic butter. I really enjoyed it.
