Help - need info on Laura Bush's newspaper ads, post-911, of unamericans
When she drew up that list of academics, etc., and had the names published.

Anyone have a link to the whole ad? To the list of names?

I thought I'd saved it somewhere, but can't find it.

Thanks!

Also need link to Falwell's comments blaming 9-11 on wiccans, feminists, gays, etc.

1. I thought that was Lynne (Lon) Cheney...
here is Fallwell's rambling- though it has 10 times more effect if you see it on video

Just two days after the attack on the World Trade Towers, Americans were shocked to hear two leaders of our own domestic "Taliban" utter statements which may well have destroyed any remaining credibility which they may have held up to that point, even amongst their own followers.

Speaking about the attack on Pat Robertson's "700 Club", Jerry Falwell said...

"The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way — all of them have tried to secularize America — I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen.'"

Pat Robertson, the host of the "700 Club" responded at once by saying, "I concur completely." Later on in the exchange, Falwell added, ``God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.''

``Jerry, that's my feeling,'' Robertson responded. ``I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven't even begun to see what they can do to the major population.''

4. well I know she, and Lieberman's wife, did compile a list:
AN aggressive attack on freedom has been launched upon America's college campuses. Its perpetrators seek the elimination of ideas and activities that place Sept. 11 in historical context, or critique the so-called war on terrorism.

The offensive, spearheaded by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, a Washington-based group, threatens free speech, democratic debate and the integrity of higher education. In an incendiary report, ``Defending Civilization: How Our Universities Are Failing America,'' the American Council claims that ``colleges and university faculty have been the weak link in America's response'' to Sept. 11. It also asserts that ``when a nation's intellectuals are unwilling to defend its civilization, they give comfort to its adversaries.''

The report documents 117 campus incidents as ``evidence'' of anti-Americanism. More than 40 professors are named, including the president of Wesleyan University, who suggested in an open letter that ``disparities and injustices'' in American society and the world can lead to hatred and violence.

Other examples abound. A Yale professor is criticized for saying, ``It is from the desperate, angry and bereaved that these suicide pilots came.'' A professor emeritus from the University of Oregon is listed for recommending that ``we need to understand the reasons behind the terrifying hatred directed against the U.S. and find ways to act that will not foment more hatred for generations to come.''
