DU fisherpeople, my 'vacation' fishing report...

I was gone for a week (and nobody noticed). My best friend and I went camping and fishing in Arkansas and got away from my divorce thing and his daily grind. For those fisherpeople on the board, I highly recommend Heber Springs and the Little Missouri River, though the Little Mo was a bit slow this year because of problems with the generators at the dam upstream. Heber Springs report: Lots of 16+ inch Rainbows, and some pretty good Brookies (farther upstream, near the dam where the water is colder). The Little Mo is currently better with wet flies and streamers (Royal Coachman, Red Ants, Wooly Buggers, and the like; dry flies that worked in the Little Mo were: Black Ants, March Browns, Madame X, Black Gnats, and Royal Humpies). We landed about 80 fish for the week, and hooked and lost at least twice that many. The strecthes of both rivers where we fish are catch and release only; single hook, barbless, but great fun and the fish are beautiful.
