"Cheers" had two distinct periods. The five-years with bar maid Diane Chambers and the six years with bar manager Rebecca Howe. Which do you prefer?

They both repulsed me.

Dianne because of the character, Rebecca because kirsti alley is a psychotic scientologist hose beast. If you have seen a picture of her recently, you know that she has let her weight get totally away from her, causing her to lose her Pier One commercial gig.

Kirsti Alley may not be your cup of tea, given her Scientologist beliefs, or maybe you don't like her acting, but that weight comment was really beyond the realm to me. That amount of weight gain so rapidly usually reflects either a serious physical or mental problem. You seem to suggest that you are gleeful about it. How sad....

1. Diane was an unfunny, snotty priss.

Coach was awesome on that show, so he kinda neutralized Diane's crappy character. Rebecca also started out crappy, but her character got a lot better over the years.

6. I despised the "Diane" character.

I liked Rebecca at first because she wasn't Diane, but I think it started getting stupid. I wasn't watching it much by then anyway. Now Carla, I liked, especially when she was dissing Diane.

8. Definitely Rebecca..

I see that other DU'ers have CHEERS marathon on...God, I forgot how funny this show was! I've had it on all weekend as I've been coming and going and making it a point to not watch ANY of the BS news show. Diane really grated on my nerves.
