1. It's the newest "crime"
"Theft of Bandwidth."

The big ISPs decided they wanted a new crime, so they invented one.

The World Wide Web was intended specifically to allow cross-network object hosting. It was in most of the proposals, and was quite common at one time.

But since we live in a world where everything has its price, the big ISPs realized they could get more money by metering pieces of a domain system that was originally built to be unmetered.

To overcome objections, a new crime was invented: Theft Of Bandwidth.

Hellfire and Damnation! You are now a criminal.

In a world where nothing is free and everything is property, freedom is a crime. Why give it away if you can sell it? And if you can sell it, you can sue, confiscate, and arrest with it.

Every man is King in his own prison cell! That's Free Enterprise, dude!

3. Errr...
Angelfire is not an ISP.

They simply don't allow remote image linking from their free sites. However, I don't think that anyone should really host a site on Angelfire.

from their TOS:

"By submitting a web page to the unpaid versions of Angelfire, Tripod, or any other unpaid web page hosting service on the Lycos Network, you grant Lycos a royalty-free, nonexclusive, worldwide, unrestricted license to use, copy, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, create compilations including, and distribute such web page, and any associated Content, for the limited purposes of publishing and promoting the user's web page in connection with the particular service with which the user has chosen to have the web page hosted and for publishing and promoting such web page elsewhere within the Lycos Network. Such license shall apply with respect to any form, media, or technology now known or later developed."

2. Angelfire is a bit tempermental as an image host
Sometimes images show up, sometimes not (yours is showing up for me).

I believe they have limits on how much bandwidth. And DU takes up a ton of it.

Try Photobucket. No bandwidth limits.

8. No
Angelfire (helps if you spell it right) specifically doesn't want to be an image hoster. It's in the licence agreement.
