4. Alf Clausen - The Simpsons!
Yeah, Danny Elfman wrote the theme, but this guy wrote and orchestrated pretty much every other single piece of music on the show since it began. Genius.

5. David Rose.
He wrote the themes to "Little House on the Prairie," "Highway to Heaven," arranged the theme for "Bonanza," and also wrote "Holiday For Strings," which was long Red Skelton's theme song.

8. Earle Hagen was another great one.
For "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "The Andy Griffith Show" alone, he deserves acclaim.
