I just bought 10 gallons of paint....
that's how I'm celebrating school being over. I've been wanting to paint my living room/dining room for 5 years. Oh what fun awaits!

1. I'm actually thinking of asking my new landlord . . . .
if I can paint the bedroom. It's white right now, and I'd love to paint is something with a little more pizazz. I'm thinking a light yellowish brown color (like bamboo kind of). I think it'd look pretty cool :)

2. Sounds nice... at least an accent wall
I'm going with an off white for now. I may paint over it later but the inside of my house is so dark, I want to lighten it up. I did the bedroom last year and just love it. It's a nice blue on top with white on the bottom. I added a chair rail and crown molding and redid the molding on the windows. It was major, but hey, it's my room and I wanted it done nicely.

Next year, the floors.... Carpeting just doesn't work with pets.

3. Hehehe
The floors in my new place are GORGEOUS. Old wide-plank hardwood floors, I think they're oak, a dark honey-colored oak. Each strip is like 4 inches wide.

It's an old mill building that was converted to lofts and they used all the original flooring, just sanded and refinished it.

I love my floors :).
