Other musicians named Bruce who aren't the Boss...and Hornsby's too easy
...so he doesn't count.

For starters, there's "critically acclaimed, but a lot of people have never heard of him" perennial Bruce Cockburn.

Then there's Bruce Kulick, who spent years in the makeup-less Kiss, then went on the road with the Mark Farner-less Grand Funk Railroad:

I can think of others, but...TAG...you're it.

5. Bruce Thomas
Edited on Sun May-30-04 07:27 PM by gmoney
Bassist for The Attractions (Elvis Costello's band) -- he and the Big E. have had a pretty bitter feud for years now to the point where when they were inducted to the R&R Hall of Fame, Thomas showed up just long enough to get his trophy and split. Asked why Thomas didn't sit in on the band's set for the event, Elvis Costello replied "I only play with professional musicians." Thomas also wrote a fairly unflattering tour bio called "The Big Wheel" that E didn't care for so much.

It's a shame... his work with the Attractions was absolutely amazing... best backing band EVER.

Steve Nieve, Bruce Thomas, Elvis Costello, Pete Thomas

P.S. Attractions drummer Pete Thomas is absolutely the coolest person I've EVER met, bar none -- at least he was back about 1985.

6. Pete Thomas did session work on Buddy Guy's "Sweet Tea"...
...a very, very dangerous album.
