What is the craziest name of a real person ever?
I have a couple nominees

1. Dag Hammarskjold - Former Secy. General of the UN
2. God Shamgod - former basketball player for Georgetown University.
3. Boutros Boutros Ghali - Former Secy. General for the UN
4. Chris Fumatu-Mafala - Running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers (I think)
5. Mike Kryzyewski (Shuh-shef-ski)- Coach of the Duke Blue Devils basketball team.
6. Miroslav Satan(shuh-tAN)- hockey player, plays for the Buffalo Sabres. they should trade him to the New Jersey Devils for the sheer hilarity of it!
7. Zarley Zalapsky - Hockey player - former Hartford Whalers defenseman from the early 90's.

1. I do not mean to offend, but
your list seems to imply some sort of cultural bias. Only foriegn names there

When I worked at the TEC in the mid 70's, we had a client with the name Climax Higgins. Then there was Canary Simmons (he played for the New England Patriots)

46. Really!
There's nothing "funny" about the name Dag Hammerskjold to a Scandinavian, nor is Boutros Boutros Ghally funny in an Islamic culture. Judging from the naming practices I know about in some Islamic cultures, it means "Boutros who is the son of Boutros (in other words, named after his dad) and the grandson of Ghally."

2. Knew a guy named Dick Little
And no, he didn't even go by "Richard". Always said "Hi, I'm Dick Little."

And in many an office of data storage, I'm sure the file clerks chuckle whenever they pull the file entitled "Little, Dick".

:o

By the way, I'm a big Satan fan myself. Hockey needs a goaltender named Jesus, just so the announcers can say "Jesus saves! But Satan nets the rebound!"

9. Dilbert cartoon...
Woman asks Dilbert if it's true that all user IDs need to be the first initial and last name. Dilbert says yes. Woman says, "Can you make an exception?". Dilbert says no. Woman leaves in a huff.

Dilbert says, "Boy, that Barbara Utthead sure is a pain".

Once taught a woman named Fonda Dicks when he was in Iowa (I think this was back in the 70s or 80s) before he came up here. In high school, she was a basketball star. The annoncers on the local sports reports wer merciless. They'd say stuff in their game reports the next morning like "Fonda Dicks had twenty big ones last night."

I once knew a colon-rectal surgeon named Burton Hynie, but the best one was a patient who named her daughter Placenta Marie. She thought it was the most beautiful word she'd ever heard. Come to think of it, I knew a woman named Halle Pena, too. Oh well, everyone can't be a Jennifer or a Joshua.

But maybe the best (or worst) was a customer of the bank where my mother worked as a teller back in the '40's. He was a nice gentleman but the tellers always had a hard time keeping straight faces when Mr. Hardin Straight came in to make a deposit.

:wow: Who could blame them?

81. more

Zephyr Teachout - very respectable and hardworking former Dean campaign operative and blogger.

Nomar Garciaparra - star shortstop for the Red Sox (he was named Nomar because his father's name is Ramon and he wanted his son to have his own name spelled backwards. Hence "Nomar".)

J.J. Putz - Pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. Road games must be awful for him...

86. My dad worked with a man named Ted Suck...
My dad would come home and tell me that he worked with Ted Suck and finally met his brother Dick (Ted didn't have a brother named Dick). That was a running joke between my dad and me until her retired. I think he worked Ted for about 15 years.

I had the pleasure of working with a fine gentleman named Raleigh Justice. I learned a lot from him
