Apart from medics, firemen, police, armed forces, all of which should get extra holiday pay, nobody should be.

3. I didn't HAVE to, but opted to

by working the holiday I get double time and another day off at my discretion. Thought it was a good chance to make up for all of the days I had to take of for these damn migraines. I am here, but there is absolutely nothing to do since the US and Europe are both 'on Holiday', oh and it's pouring outside so...

4. I get paid for NOT working today!

It is my normal day off and as with all holidays that fall on my day off I get 8 hours of pay in a seperate check. Now if I can figure out how to get them to pay me for staying home all the time I would be on to something!
