Am I a nerd?
My bf and I were driving to the movies yesterday evening. On the way there, we were stopped a stop light. As I looked to my left, there was a chick in the car next to us was laying over the lap of the male driver. I don't think I have to describe what she was doing but her head was in his lap and moving. He was sitting there with a smile on his face.

I guess he didn't care who saw them. At first I thought it was funny, then I got to thinking what if a family in an suv was next to then and a child in the back seat could see what was happening....that would really tick me off.

Am I nerdy for thinking this way?

public indecency.

Good for them that they can have their fun but you're right.. kids could have seen them. Or anyone for that matter. They could have at least pulled over in the back of a parking lot or something.

Hey in all seriousness you are growing older and thinking about the kids.

That is understandable and all that as long as you don't go all South Part Mother's Against Canada and start a decency war over it.

No the whole highway sex is dangerous thing that is truly prudish.

Give me a break that is part of the thrill and voyeurism connected to getting head while driving.

Don't worry about it. As long as you are not disgusted by what you saw or the act you are not "nerdy" or even prudish either.

33. Not saying as 35 year old with two kids I would engage in such behavior
Or that as a younger man that I never did this myself.

Instead I am making the point that if you see two people engaged in oral sex in the car next to you and your first thought is about driving safety that is a big fat indication you are a prude.

Folks are having some fun--let 'em be! Relax!

Nothing is worse than prematurely crustifying into crankiness. Shrugging of the shoulders is the proper response to this kind of weirdness; the proper response if you can't muster outright laughter.

But we all have our cranky moments, so don't worry.

(The worst would be if annoyance calcified into some false moral indignation, as one can see on DU sometimes...)
