Anyone buy clothes from Ebay??

Just wondered what your experiences were doing that. I love LL Bean stuff, but it's so expensive -- thinking of trying to find stuff a little cheaper on Ebay (still name brand).

4. I get name brands cheap
I've bought NWT clothes on ebay and can highly recommend using that venue. I've gotten Gloria Vanderbilt, Lee and Shadowline (lingerie) brand new for about one-third I would have paid in a store, including shipping costs. One thing, if the seller doesn't list the waist, hip, and/or bust sizes, you might end up getting clothes that don't fit. I buy size 16, which has been listed with everything from a 32" to 38" waistline.

5. all the time..
I've bought jeans and shorts on Ebay. The Quiksilver and Billabong gear goes for about $50 or $60 retail. I usually score them for well under $20.

6. I've done it lots
not bad experience so far :-) Well, I did buy a pair of shoes that didn't fit me, but it's hard when you can't try them on.

8. Be careful
Vintage means used.

I have bought most of my clothes off e-bay,mostly at about half of retail cost. There are some great buys, but one must seek out the better sellers whom give honest descriptions.I have about 50 sellers I trust totally to get the best products.I have been scammed twice out of about 700+ deals.

Just remember to ask lots of questions of the sellers before bidding. If they don't answer then don't bid.

9. I got a Burberry trenchcoat on eBay.
It arrived quickly. It was exactly as advertised. I wear it often.

Of course, it all depends on the seller. Some are better than others. Make sure you check out the seller's rating.

12. Kind of hate to say it..

..but expensive brand-named stuff is really much better quality. At least you know the chances of the item holding up and looking nice for a long time are greater.

13. Agreed.
Over time, better made stuff--though initially more expensive--will save you money.

10. On Occasion
Usually sci-fi collectible items like t-shirts, though. I do more selling than buying these days (clothes and plenty of other stuff), and it works well....

15. Just be sure to ask any and all questions you have
such as actual measurements (length, width at shoulders, etc.), before you bid.
