2. Yes, that was great. It was one of the things that gave me hope
in 2003. Starting with Dean in Jan/Feb saying "I want my country back!"

7. Wes Clark 'coming out' as a liberal
was a great confidence booster too. To see a 4 star general say on Bill Maher that he was a LIBERAL and damn proud of it was enough to almost bring tears to my eyes

8. My impression ...

First, let me say that I HATE Bill O'Reilly.

OK, after watching the video I really thought Bill was in his comfort zone. He raised his voice but it was the same old Bill being a prick and trying to provoke people.

Al (who I think is great) seemed to get pretty angry at O'Reilly. However, I don't think Al was flustered at all. Al came off looking like he got the short end of the stick even though O'Reilly was the asshole.

It was the same shit O'Reilly pulled with Terry Gross on "Fresh Air". In a way, O'Reilly is a geriatric Howard Stern. He's trying to get reactions from people and trying to make things "pop". He's also a colossal liar.

I hope Al is a little more snarky and witty and a little less reactive when they spar again. The second you let a Bill O'Reilly make you mad, you've fallen into their trap.

5. This was the famed O'Reilly meltdown, right? Where Franken
called him on lying about Peabody awards, and O'Really was reduced to shouting "shut up!" at him? On C-span?

6. That was it!
When O'Reilly told Franken to shut up, Al replied, "Sorry, Bill. This isn't your show. You can't order them to cut my mike." And that was just the beginning of it, heh-heh-heh!
