21. Yes it did
Birth of a Nation hatched the modern day KKK. Don't mean to get political here, but the Klan might have died out if it hadn't been glorified in that racist piece of shit movie.

24. not so sure I agree
The Klan lives today, and I doubt many of its members have even heard of the film, let alone seen it. It may be in the background, but it's still alive. Christ, Harry Truman once stupidly contemplated membership. He backed off, of course, but it shows how very big the Klan was in politics.

18. Ha ha!
Madame X was a melodrama starring Lana Turner and Ricardo Montabalm. She was the wife of a rich man they had a son (sorry but I saw it at least 30 years ago!) she somehow met Ricardo Montabalm. Somehow Montabalm gets killed; I forgot tomention that Lana's mother-in-law didn't think she was good enough to marry her son. Anyway, she comes back years later and is put on trial and her now-grown son defends her. I think Douglas Sirk directed or produced it. Am I right on any of these facts?

23. An Officer and a Gentleman
If you hadn't seen the movie would the title make you think it was about a gay love affair? (Yeah, yeah, I know. The officer could have been a woman, but that would spoil the question.)
