11. No that's not what I am saying...
To me music isn't about singing, and guitars. If that's what it means for you, then don't read any furthur.

I have always felt an artist regardless of their form of expression reaches into their soul and looks into the abyss. You come back into the real world and talk about things we can do better. So in a sense you have let the art become an extension of yourself...

but I sure as fuck won't buy it.

Especially now that Sammy's teaming up with Toby Keith. What an asshole.

They're both egomaniacal idiots, but VH has never been VH to me without Dave.

5. I was at Cabo Wabo once and Sammy was there
having his birthday party.. (He owns Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas)


They set me and my friends at the table next to them because we were older and they wanted to keep the young drunks away from him.

Too funny.. he was pretty cool to us and I know appreciated the fact we didn't keep getting up yelling 'Sammy!' in a drunken drawl like the guys in the back were. LOL We got most of our meal free for serving as a barrier. :-)


But - I prefer David Lee Roth in the band.

Oh My God...Roth was there when it was kewl, then came Hagar.
I always thought Roth was a massive joke, now looking like he could have had a STROKE. Hagar was Hagar back then. But then became now and now it's become then, as Roth just might be kewl again.
Hagar a 'blican? Of course. Roth is a MESS and Eddie hates him with a passion. Maybe they all should retire and leave me in peace.

17. IMO, Van Halen just wasn't Van Halen without Dave.
They didn't rock nearly as hard. I liked Sammy's solo stuff before he joined VH, but found the band pretty bland with him as the lead singer. The band was much more fun with Dave; he was quite a frontman, quite a personality. Unfortunately, he has aged poorly. I have trouble using the word "aged," because he's around my age, but when I see him now he seems so much older.
