Greatest fucking novel I've ever read. Tremendous. Bizarre. Engrossing. Thoroughly fucking engrossing. A masterpiece. Since you're into the long novel, ever read William Gaddis' JR. Should be next on your list.

3. Gaddis...
My Father in Law was a book dealer, and he thought Gaddis would be the next 'hot property'. We inherited his inventory when he died. I have at least five copies of each Gaddis first edition there is. I haven't even opened one up, yet.

I didn't claim to *enjoy* Gravity's Rainbow...but I did finish it.

Satanic Verses, too--what the hell was that about?!
