Poll question: Favorite Bloom County Character

I just love Bloom County and I've been reliving all the strips over at http://www.ucomics.com/ (it's a paysite but it's $10 a month and you get the six dailies one day and the Sunday the next. They also are rerunning all the Calvin & Hobbes strips).

So here's a poll to find out who your favorite Bloom County Character is!

1. My favorite

Was from 1984 when the Meadow Party was running for the presidency again, Hodge-Podge and Portnoy were talking.

Hodge-Podge: My heart's not in it this year. We should have run Jesse Helms.
Portnoy: We would have alienated half of America.
Hodge-Podge: Okay, Jesse Jackson then.
Portnoy: We'd alienate the other half.
(Pause)
Hodge-Podge: Let's alienate everybody! Jesse & Jesse in 84!
Portnoy: Oh, DO shut up!

2. Steve Dallas...no doubt

Started reading Bloom County in '83 when I was a Jnr. in HS and decided that Steve Dallas was the person I wanted to be when I grew up. Narccisistic, selfish and proud of it. Unfortunatley, I did a pretty good job of that for a lot of years...lol.

Now I think O.W. Holmes would be my fav. I think you just gave me the idea to go out and look for a few of the old B.C. compilation books.

On a side note, it was just last Halloween that I dressed up as Steve at an office Halloween party...

I voted for Opus because of his naive sweetness, but yeah, Steve was consistently hilarious.

9. I was upset when Aliens abducted Steve Dallas

And gave him mush for brains. And I was so glad in the end he reverted back to being the old Steve Dallas. He ended up in a Cathy Cartoon after retirement from Bloom County

7. I think the poll should have...

...had two options for Steve Dallas; cool, narccisistic Steve Dallas, and sensitive 90s permed guy Steve Dallas.

I'm for the former, by the way.
