UK "local" Councillor moves to Bermuda, retains job....
Makes me think of Diamond Joe Quimby trying to run Springfield from Aruba......silly cow....

"A newly-elected councillor has defended her decision to stay in the post - despite moving to Bermuda. Annabelle Blackmore was elected to Maidstone Borough Council in May as a Conservative member for the Marden and Yalding ward.

But she left Kent a few weeks later when her husband was sent on secondment to Bermuda by his employers. Mrs Blackmore said she was confident she could carry out her duties despite being almost 3,500 miles away."

1. Huh?!
This makes no sense to me. Hoe can she represent her constituency if she is not there to meet with them and share their concerns? The two others will end up doing all the work.

4. Honestly, I did not notice that she was a conservative
I just noticed that she expected to remain in touch with her constituency using cell phone and fax. I would vote to recall anyone who expected to represent me like this, even in the telecommunications age.:grr:

2. SHe should stay in Blighty and work toward a...
...seat in the House of Lords.

That way, nobody will notice if she's there or not.
