my local talk radio staion is going to take off the socially liberal repub host who is local and air Sean (kiss my fascist ass)Hannity.
I am really mad. This is a democratic strong hold in this state and this is the line up for the day..

Idiotic giggly talk morning show from 6-9am(now w/liberal local guy)
Local (very stupid) right wing women 9-12
Rush 12-3pm
Sean Insanity 3-6
Bill O'Really 6-9
Michael Savage 9-12am

Does anyone know of a cave I can move to, because I am having a severe crisis of the spirit right now. It is not just this radio news of course. This news was just the last straw in a difficult and exhausting summer.

I need something, I need to go back to when I didn't give a damn and I was loved and taken care of and not the one doing the taking care all the time. I think I need summer camp..... or something

In otherwords..The right wing view is the only view that is allowed to be broadcast.. That's what ClearChannel and the FCC decisions are all about..

Most people who listen to music, don't give a whit.. The ones of us who DO care about what's going on, are SCREWED...

It's all been a stealth campaign for YEARS... This is their end destination..... We have arrived....

I know they are trying to brain wash me, but so many people don't. They will listen and little by little the poison sinks in.

I live in Liberal/Progressive/Democrat territory myself.

The only thing I can recommend about radio programming is to hit the conservatives where they live. Get a CD player . Listen to the radio only for traffic and weather reports during your commute. And write to the local stations to tell them that their programming will lose your patronage. Have all of your lefty friends and relatives write, too. Buy a roll of stamps and address the envelopes for them.


As for your crisis of the spirit, I empathise. Maybe there's something you can do just for yourself. The school season will be starting up are there any courses you might be interested in? Pottery, painting, photography, ballroom dance? Something just for the joy of it? Sometimes a little personal indulgence goes a long way toward nurturing my inner child. And I love going back to school in the fall.

What do you love, - what will make the inner Cheswick jump up and down and yell "oh GOODY!?"

"They" have chased us to the internet for news because they boughtall the newspapers and tv stations...

Now they chased us to cd players because we cannot stomach what they play on OUR airwaves..

So while we are PAYING EXTRA for stuff to listen to, they are happily pushing buttons to see WHICH of 5 stations has a clearer signal of Hannity...



and while we are all attached to keyboards, they can pick up any paper, or watch any channel anywhere they go and see what THEY want to watch..

They have effectively DRIVEN us underground for news and infprmation, and while doing that, have proclaimed to the world, that THEIR view is the ONLY view..:(

I will do what I can.

I love the suggestion about school, I have been going full time for three years. The past 2 semesters I am also working full time. I think that is why I am so tired...or part of the reason.

I will be student teaching in oct and nov (fun) but worried how I will make ends meet patching together temp jobs at night and in between semesters (I will be student teaching again in the spring and graduating in June).

After that, I will have my summers free to do theater. At least that is the plan, but who knows what they future will bring.
