a curiosity: does anyone think Dean's voice helps him?
He has this manly, gravelly voice that can get pretty booming when he's mad or serious. Almost a tough-guy type of voice. I think it might actually be helping him. If he had any other voice, it might be easier for him to be tagged as "wimpy," but I haven't heard that epithet hurled at him yet.

Any thoughts on the Doc's voice?
(I haven't seen it discussed anywhere, so I'm wondering if I'll be laughed out of the Lounge for asking this seemingly petty question.)

1. Actually, I thought it sounded kind of high and strident
when he was on a rant. However, I think it might work.

3. Nope
I support dean, but he has to lower his voice, slow down when he speaks, buy shirts with a bigger next size, and make sure he has a good camera angle when he talks.

The product is solid, the packaging could use some work.

4. I agree about the shirts (and welcome to DU!)
but I kind of like the voice...I don't know, I've always liked the New England set of accents (I know he's a native New Yorker, but his accent seems to me somewhere between New York and New England).

"Idear" does trip me up, though. Only a little.

As for the fast-talking, I do it myself so I don't always notice it in others, but you're probably right.
