I get what I need off the digital cable listings. I even ignore the TV Guide Channel.

I ignore the right-wing crap in it.

I hardly ever watch TV, usually just CSPAN and the occasional indulgence like "West Wing" or "Alias."

For various reasons, I get too many free subscriptions to various magazines but not that one. The most ignorant wingnutty magazines I get, which are truly without merit, are MAXIM and STUFF. I can't get even my closest wingnut friend to take them away. If they want to be about sex, they should get the girls out of their scanties; what's up with the tease? Aren't we all adults here? If they're about "we are bigoted against the French jokes," perhaps they just cease distribution in Louisiana.

Is TV Guide really that bad? They used to publish Asimov, I thought -- admittedly quite a few years back. I'm not a TV oriented person so I haven't flipped through one of them in many a year.

Weekly TV listings come in the Sunday paper -- that's good enough. And the Sunday paper is rightwing enough, too.

even though I have known since the raygun years it's owned by a sleezebag RWinger. I enjoy reading the thing, sigh. :shrug: I do the best I can on boycotting RW sh*t but if I didn't make a few exceptions there wouldn't be much I could read or watch or eat or anything. :-(

in reading that rag! I don't need to, my local newspapers have really good TV listings magazines.
