Hey! Chicago Folks! Meetup?

I posted this in the Illinois forum and it sank like a stone.

She was my dad's sister. I was closer to her than even my mom, so this is really hard.

She's always been my biggest fan-- has kept all my cards from the last 38 years, and little drawings I did for her when I was in grade school. Came to my college graduation and my wedding, even when her health was not as good.

The coolest lady in the world. I miss her already. (Love you, Hopie)

I'm flying in tomorrow morning, and the wake is most of the day (12 to 6), so Saturday night for party people, or Sunday for the laidback relaxed types.

I'm staying til Tuesday afternoon.

Whaddya say all?

So far, terrya, xnasa, and greataunt are out of commission.

Hey-- I actually did bring the laptop with me, and I'm at the Westin O'Hare. PM me if you want more info.

I had to get up at 3:30 Sat morning, and by the time I got back to the hotel around 6 I was toast. Had some room service and went to bed.
