4. I'd probably enjoy the Smothers Brothers more now
...But back when I was a kid, Laugh-In was my favorite. The Smothers Brothers jokes went over my head all the time.

9. I was a bit too young myself...
But seeing the Smo Bro's later in reruns, I recognized their "edge" and fully understood why they were too hot for 60's prime-time (and were subsequently canceled, ie. forced out of the bidniz for a spell).

10. Watching some of the Smothers Brothers episodes...
those guys were WAAAAAAAY ahead of their time. So clever, so political. I wish they were back on TV now.

12. Laugh in had its good bits, for political humor, but that wasn't the
focus. Laugh in was today's Mad TV. Smothers Brothers was The Daily Show.

14. The Smothers Brothers - I'd love to see it in reruns now
because of the political edge to the show that I didn't understand at the time, but when I see clips of it from retro shows, it blows my mind to hear what they were saying. :hi:
