There are a couple of places where I diverge from libertarianism, though. I think we must be good stewards of the environment. We owe it to our children. I also believe we must ensure that the super-wealthy are not able to gain absolute rule over the underclasses lest we wind up in the New Dark Ages.

It was during the last SOTU Democratic Reply thread. ONE POST! It lasted 2-3 minutes tops. I was just standing up for Daschle and Pelosi and asked a couple pointed questions. Then I was banned and had a couple comments of "Liberals never have anything to say anyways" when I did not respond (though there was no way).

I knew I was going down soon when I had to restrain myself from posting what I really thought when some asswipe there was advocating the death penalty for adulterers and other "social sex crimes." I finally lost it when someone posted a thread about Kerry's health care proposal (this was in May of 2003, before any of the primaries), and everyone was making fun of it, wondering what happened to Kerry's brain. I snapped and posted a long rant. I started off saying that maybe his brain was affected by the time he spent in Vietnam where he VOLUNTEERED to go despite his family wealth and connections, unlike the chickenhawk in the WH who had no problem using daddy's name and money to get out of service, and went on from there, about eight paragraphs worth. I told them exactly what I thought of them and why, including their obsession with Clinton, and concluded with the statement that we horrible libs were done with being nice, the gloves were coming off, etc.

And I felt soooooooo good afterwards, too, lol! Amazingly enough, they kept my post up long enough for me to actually have some exchanges with other posters before they blasted me into the Freak Republic hereafter. I then posted here about my post and we all had fun with it. I wish I knew how to post a link, because I still have the thread in my bookmarks. I consider it a badge of honor to be banned from there. Oh, and you should have seen some of the PMs I got from angry freepers, too, lol!
