Some bandits are just plain stupid.
On Thursday, a man who implied he had a gun robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 100 E. Wisconsin Ave. He handed the teller a note demanding money, Milwaukee Deputy Police Chief Brian O'Keefe said Friday.
The man took the money and fled, but he left a big, fat clue.
The note was written on the back of a piece of paper issued by the state's probation and parole department, O'Keefe said. It had the culprit's name on it.
Tommey Cunningham, 60, was arrested minutes later at N. 5th and W. Wells streets.
What's Cunningham on parole for?
Armed robbery of a bank.
