Funeral company accused of misplacing person - again
Associated Press
Dec. 20, 2004 09:00 AM

TUCSON - A Tucson funeral company has been accused of putting the wrong person in a reserved resting place for the second time since 2002.

SCI Arizona Funeral Services had to move a man from a crypt last week.

The spot was intended for Jack Lee Brown, a Tucson man who died in August 2003 and has been in a temporary crypt awaiting construction of his final resting place.

The Brown family says they weren't notified when the construction was finished in July or that someone else had taken Brown's spot.

1. I have a friend who had a similar situation
In her case, her grandfather was placed in the wrong casket. Her family had bought a very expensive and elaborate casket for the old guy and when they went in for the funeral, they found him in a plain one.

It turned out they'd mixed up two bodies so they had to remove the other body from the proper casket and put her grandfather in it after some other dead guy had been laying in it.

It was pretty upsetting for her grandmother. That's a business that mistakes are really bad to make in.
