1. You only need one town in your poll. Austin

2. Austin would be the ONLY city in Texas I'd consider
but even there the bugs need their own runways they are so big

10. Close, but a world apart.
Fort Worth is a COMPLETELY different place. If I had to live up that way, I'd choose Fort Worth in a second! Great arts community in FW!

9. I vote for Austin, but hey - how come
Fort Worth isn't on the list? It's a decent place to live, if you don't mind living in the county that gave Bush the 2nd highest margin in the country in November.

17. Inner city SA is pretty liberal.
The outlying areas are seriously freeperish. Ever hear of Rev. John Hagee? He's based in SA. SA is relatively inexpensive to live in though. Difficult to make a lot of money there, unless you're in a specialized field. Charlie Gonzales represents part of SA, and he's a Democrat.

Houston. Then I moved to Austin in 91. It was like going from black and white to technocolor. Austin is amazing. :loveya:

18. My personal experience is 20 years old
...so I'm not sure how relevant it is, but Austin would win hands down. San Antonio was pretty nice, too. Houston = Pit of Nasty Despair
