E R A S E R H E A D

Your thoughts?

It's definitely one of my favourite films of all time, but I have absolutely no idea what it's about. I know what "happens" in the film, but I'd be hard pressed to give it any definitive deeper meaning.

2. You can buy it on DVD now...
through David Lynch's website only. It's not available through any retailer like Amazon.com right now (strangely)

For 80something dollars you can get a signed Eraserhead DVD, that would make a nice Christmas gift. ;)

3. A poem should not mean, but be.
Not sure who said that, but I think it applies to Eraserhead.

It's certainly one of the strangest things on film, but it's way to compelling to give up on.

6. Hell if I know!
An oversexed man finds out this woman he once had sex with had a baby. The baby is a total mutated freakish creature. Beyond that, you're going to have to see it yourself.

10. like gothic sponge, I havent seen this since the 80's
I might see if there is a bit torrent download out there somewhere for this. If I remember correctly the background noises (like the puppies nursing off the mother causing LOUD slurping noises) drowned out what was actually going on in the foreground. I might be wrong. I love David Lynch movies no matter how wacked they are. I must have watched Mullholland Drive and Lost Highway 10 times each...
