5. Never happened...wouldn't like it. Don't mind "bitch" as a word though.

There are some DU women who dislike the word bitch as in "bitch slap" and "Powell is Bush's bitch" and the word 'balls' when used like "He had the balls to xyz"...
Personally, I don't like the word, but I've been told to take this as a compliment if I am called a bitch. Just wondering if I am the only woman who does not like to be referred as a bitch.
11. It's an insult used to try to make me subservient to men
Too many women are called "bitch" whenever they disagree with a man or speak out. Too women are called a 'bitch' as they are being beaten. I know that many younger women accept the term as a way of empowerment, but I believe there is too much history of abuse and assault with the term for it to be ever acceptable.
my response is the evil eye and, "what's your point"?? Doesn't typically bother me since it usually means I'm standing up for myself or someone else. But calling someone a bitch shows a lack of creativity, doncha think? :P
23. Dunno--how do men feel when called "dick" or "dickhead"?
I mean, it's a gender-specific curse word based on certain dubious behavior. And it can be meant in a gentle, humourous way, or a bad way. But it really is just a word. I guess it depends on context.
