I just transferred
$6,600 worth of credit card debt to a 0% interest (till Feb 2006) Discover card. Who's had experience with this? I know they will screw me if they can. How to avoid it is my question.

Be careful on not being late by one attosecond or they'll hike the rates.

As long as you close the old account so you don't use it, pecentagehopping is good. AFAIAC, anything with credit will show up negatively on one's report.

2. Pay your bill the day you receive it.
Most low interest cards are using this ploy to jack your rates. DO NOT BE LATE PAYING! The simplest way to keep the low rate is to pay it immediately when you receive it and don't forget about it.

...if you're ever late or if anyone else alters your credit report, so don't be late on any other bills either.
