How do I get the sticky label goo off my new damask table
napkins that I bought at a 75% off sale today? Theya re beautiful red napkins but I couldn't get the label off completely. So I washed then and now they don't have any paper stuck to them, but they have a thin layer of gummy stuff.

Any recommendations?

4. Will that take color out of the cloth?

That's part of what I'm worried about.

BTW, Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

10. I think it would be okay
I use WD40, GooGone or lighter fluid to clean and remove stickers from book covers of all sorts. (I sell used books). Never had a problem.

7. Googone! Or if you have it, try Avon Skin-so-Soft.
That stuff takes EVERYTHING off!

Googone sold at Lowe's, Home Depot.

11. Un Du
look for it in the craft section of whatever store you shop at. It won't harm the fabric.

13. Use PEANUT BUTTER
rub it in real good and let it set for awhile. The peanut butter will desolve the glue. WORKS every time, don't forget to wash them after. :)
