4. Hugging My Ultra-Cool 12 Year Old Son
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 12:53 PM by AccessGranted
You know how boys think they are like the essence of coolness during the pre-teen years? Well, I can't go through one day without blowing my son's cool by hugging him to pieces, pinching his cheeks and calling him "My Sweety-Bear". He just laughs and says, "Get off me, Ma!", but he always hugs me back. Kids, even the uber-cool ones, like to know that they are loved.

26. Same deal here.
I have to kiss my boys good-bye in the morning and good night at bedtime. My 8 year old is cool with it and so is his 12 year old brother, but I fear the day may be coming when my big guy may give me one of those "Ahh, Dad, knock it off" looks.

29. Enjoy it While You Can
And when they get older we'll just have to have find a more age-appropriate expression of love. Showing love is important at any age. Keep on being a good, loving dad.

18. Q-Tip Fetish - Part Two
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 01:06 PM by AccessGranted
The other day somebody told me that they'd never used a Q-Tip on their ears in their entire life and I almost got sick. LOL. I was like so repulsed. They said they are scared they'll ruin their hearing because their mother told them that Q-tips are dangerous and you can go deaf using them. Eeeeew!
