Are the Duke Boys rightwing?
Seriously... I didn't really follow the show, but as I understand it, they're sort of defenders of the underdog, and are a constant thorn in the side of Boss Hogg and the Sheriff's Department, who are clearly representitives of the RW corporate class.

But then, they have the Stars and Bars on the roof of their car (named the "General Lee"), and they seem to break many laws which are clearly safety, not politically, oriented.

So, what's the deal? Which lever do they pull?

Wasn't the actor "Scooter"-something a Democratic Congressman from Tennessee or something? He was on Crossfire a couple years ago arguing against that reality show "The Real Beverly Hillbillies", saying it was offensive to working class poor white folks.

10. "This is Bo and Luke, they fight the system"
That is how they were introduced. Thus, I conclude that they always vote against incumbents
