we guys are driven to spread our seed, and politics means nothing when the bald head speaks. I can think of a few wingnut women I'd do in a heartbeat should the occasion arise. Besides, they need our genes if they are going to reroduce at all.

Look at the yes answers.

IMO, an evil/mean person becomes ugly no matter what they look like.

I don't think I could spend a great deal of time romantically involved with anyone who was a gung-ho Bush supporter. I imagine they'd find me repulsive as well--but since he'd be a guy, he'd probably hang on for the sex.

Does "physical attraction" meet just a random, fleeting hot flash, or does it mean something strong enough you'd want some follow-through? Cause the random hot flashes are common enough to be meaningless, but like Lydia Leftcoast says, if the person opens his/her mouth and something foul comes out, it just turns off like flicking a switch. Attraction that's more than a passing-quick-and-gone-forever thought has to involve more. The way the person moves. The way they smell. Etc.

What do you mean by this?

My position is clear. Physical attractiveness is decided by physical charactaristics. If the level of attraction is lessened by some kind of verbal exchange then that is merely overall attractiveness, not the physical attractiveness.

As far as your question to me, attraction is by degrees and not by type.

47. The only way to do that would be to restrict what we know about the person
to just the physical. I cannot judge a person's attractiveness based only on physical attributes when I know they have values I find abhorrent. Knowing that would negate any physical attractiveness the person might otherwise have held for me. I can't help it. It's just the way I am.

An amazingly, eye-meltingly handsome dude paid me some attention and as I got to know his slimey, conceited, malignant self I'd look at him without a single trace of physical appreciation coming to mind.

On the other hand, I've known fellas who were perhaps fairly ordinary by most physical standards become incredibly beautiful to me on deeper acquaintance.
