Yes, they take a credit card IF you want to make cheap phone calls off the network, but I have zero interest in that. It is a free way to call people online.

that credit card info is being stolen and used to make Skype Out calls and that the problem is not with Skype.

4. It has some connection to Kazaa

I have a friend in Estonia who uses Skype and swears by it, especially for cheap international calls. However I have no personal experience with it.

Verizon just started offering something called VoiceWing, phone service on your DSL line, which seems to have unlimited longdistance calling.

... use it all the time with other Skype users. They have no financial info on me and its totally free.
