Apocalypse draws near as Britney Spears' kid sister's show debuts tonight

In making the leap from ensemble cast member on Nick's hit show, "All That," to starring in her own sitcom, 13-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is following in the footsteps of her idol, Amanda Bynes. In addition to "All That" and "Zoey 101," Spears has appeared with her older sis, Britney, in a Pepsi commercial and in the movie "Crossroads." The real-life seventh grader is on the cheerleading squad and basketball team at her junior high, and loves the fact that there's so much about her character that she can relate to. But the similarities end when it comes to siblings—the baby of the Spears gang, Jamie Lynn has a great time playing a big sister on-screen. In her time off, Jamie Lynn jets right back to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana to hang with her family and friends.
