When they were promoted after a playoff win over Sunderland it made my whole year.

14. Birmingham City Blues
Edited on Sun Jan-09-05 08:32 PM by Mass_Liberal
my family's from there, and they just plain rock!

Also Tottenham because Dafoe is rediculously good and my dad was born on White Hart Lane on the same block as the stadium.

18. Birmingham eh?
Do you have any thoughts on the Robbie Savage soap opera? Think he'll get transfered?

I never used to like the guy but his value as a player to his team becomes more obvious whenever I see him.

19. well I like him a lot
and frankly the whole situation sucks. He is very important to the spirit of the team because he brings out the enthusiasm and hustle in the team. Anyway, he clearly wants to leave, which depresses me to no end. We NEED him in the midfield, especially w/ David Dunn injured.

5. Oh hey, are you English perchance?
Do you have any favorite sites, news sources or what have you for football? I am actually something of a fanatic over the sport but living here in Florida the only coverage I get is from the internet, Fox Sports World (and a couple of Spanish channels) and the occasinal blurbs in the newspaper. I post on BigSoccer.com a bit but they seem rather over-represented by Americans. Soccer365.com isn't bad but it isn't enough.

Where do you get your news from?

7. Yep.
But if you like the Arse I'll have to give you a good kick in the teeth.

I like Blackburn (b/c of Friedel) and Liverpool.

I'm also lukewarm on Man U. I live in Cork city, where Roy Keane comes from, so the whole city is in love with the Reds. :puke:

Oh, and to Morris, www.soccernet.com is a good site from the Prem league.

8. We've got some friends who are some big Hammers fans.
One's from England, one's in the US.

I'm not a big soccer/football fan anyway, so I don't know much about them. But we got one of them a Hammers jersey for Christmas. So I know that much. :)

12. For no other reason than they share nicknames with my favorite NBA team,
I support Tottenham. I don't know much about them though. I am not a fervent fan as you can tell.
