The Strangest Thing Is Happening Right Now...

... my neighbor has hired a lawn service crew to remove the dead tree leaves on his property. Only... the dividing line between our properties is his backyard fence... and (lacking a frontyard fence) one can just use the existing fence to extend a straight line to the street.

What's confusing the yard crew is the little creek that runs along our property line. The creek (storm ditch) follows the property line, but the ditch itself ON our property. It looks like it could be a "natural" dividing point that separates two parcels of land... but everything between his fence and the ditch is actually OUR property. (There's about 1/4 of an acre on the far side of the ditch.)

So there they are... a busy little team of workers blowing the leaves on his property (and OUR property) into a huge pile that can be sucked up into a gigantic leaf vacuumming truck.

Strange. By the time I discovered what they were doing, they were already halfway into it. Too late to stop them now.

Gee... thanks guys! (They'd better not try to bill me for it.)
