Pompeani Investigated Over Woman's Accusation

POSTED: 3:50 pm EST January 10, 2005

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police in Hopewell Township, Beaver County, announced Monday that they are conducting an investigation involving former KDKA-TV news anchor Bruce Pompeani.

The Hopewell police chief stated that a 23-year-old woman has accused Pompeani of harrassing her by using graphic, lewd, obscene and threatening statements, and that he had indecently exposed himself to her.

Police have not filed charges against Pompeani, who lives in Hopewell.

(Hangs at the same station that runs Loofah-Man)

1. I wondered what happened to him.

I read over the weekend that he was rather abruptly seperated from KDKA - seemed kinda mysterious. Wonder why they didn't just put him on unpaid leave until the case could be resolved?

3. I remember reading about Pompeani making a quote about Iraq

I found it:

Mr. Pompeani stated, "President Bush has put us between Iraq and a hard place."
