B&R is good and so is "A Girl Like You".

4. I've met Pat Dinizio twice!
On his living room tour. Interesting character. And I saw the Smithereens two summers ago.

6. Lots of 13 on That Best Of
13 was a phenomenal pop/rock album. Every song had the potential to be a hit. Just honest, solid rock and roll by four guys who played, sang, and wrote their own songs. No tricks.

8. Seeing Pat perform solo
It was clear he was 3/4 of the band. I think he wrote most of the songs, played guitar and did almost all of the singing.

10. You're Correct
The drummer did some writing and singing as well, but it was Pat's vision.

9. I liked "Blood & Roses"
But when I borrowed the album from a friend ('87?), all the songs sounded the same. That loping bass line was the SAME. I liked them, but couldn't buy the album because it was like "Blood & Roses and its junior clones".

Wasn't even aware they had a best of... but hey, I am all for people enjoying what they like! :-)

11. No questions... just love the 'Reens
Pat played my request once at a 'Reens show. Everyone was yelling all their different favorites... mostly "hits" if you can call any of their songs that :-)... and he was ignoring everyone. I was down front, and during a 1 second semi-lull, I yelled out for "Indigo Blues". Pat was like, Yeah, we'll play THAT one, and I was the happiest girl in the world for a night!!!
