I just got out of a 98 degree hot-tub--ask me anything!
Glorious October in Victoria. It's my last night in the rented digs with the beach-side hot-tub, so I had to make the most of it. Too bad Mrs. Amok wasn't around.

I should have invited HEyHEY and Lisa. Ah, well, next time, I guess...

3. just remember...
freezing is at 0 C and 32 F
boiling is at 100 C and 180 F

so 98 F is 66 above freezing which is a little more than 1/3 the way between freezing and boiling.

a little more than one third the way between 0 and 100 is 35

8. Whoopsie!
The boiling point of water is 100°C, or 212°F

But 32°F + 180°F = 212°F

Just imagine if we had to use Kelvins ...

6. so if 98.6=36.5....
Edited on Wed Oct-01-03 01:04 AM by expatriot
98.0 probably equals 36.2 or something... there is obviously a very exact conversion formula that I am not using, I am just eyeballing it.

9. Haven't been in a while, but...
It's still a happenin' place.

In fact, it's regularly foot-partolled by Mounties, due to a few incidents of peeping-tomism (at an illegal nude beach, go figure!). They turn a blind eye to pretty much everything except overt drug-dealing, and are basically welcome elements keeping the beach safe(r). We have a friend who is a very sexy young woman, and she makes a FORTUNE every year selling tequila shooters (without a liquor license) buck-naked on the beach. $9 a shot, and she always runs out by 2pm.
