Attention LA DUers: California Recall Party Oct. 7th!! (keep kicked)

Come join us at Father's Office on 1018 Montana Ave. in Santa
Monica for a raucous celebration in honor of the (hopefully)
soon-to-be defeated recall election. Or at the very least, we
can drown our sorrows together! Either way, this will be a
great opportunity to meet fellow LA-area DUers.

Zhade, Shance and myself were recently discussing how bored we
were one night, and it ended with the idea that we should try
to get DUers in the LA area together. What occasion is more
perfect than recall election night? It would be really cool
to get as many people together that night so we can all meet.

If Father's Office is inconvenient for people who want to go, let us know on this thread and we'll try to find another place.

Father's Office is a bar, so whatever you can bring to bar is cool!

Should know that..it's right around the corner from my home away from home...so it's behind Von's on Monatana? Same side of the street?

But I think you're right, it's on the same side as Vons.

Actually, it might be a few blocks east of Vons on Montana, but it's right around there.

It's familiar to quite a few here, who've attended Dean Meetups. It's not far at all from Father's Office, and slightly closer to the freeway for any out-of-towners.

Gaslite is right around 20th and Wilshire, FYI.

I called and they said they have Karaoke at 9. Might be too distracting when trying to follow results, chatting, etc.

We could do Toppers (I think that's the bar NSMA was talking about).

Toppers is at the top of the Radisson, I believe, right on the beach in Santa Monica.

when I can make it. I don't think I can go because I fly to Mexico City the next morning at 7 and still have a deadline to meet and to pack tomorrow. I thought that MAYBE if it were in the neighborhood, I could stop by for a little while.
