Coldest day so far this year in Tennessee, I get off of work Sunday evening and fire up the truck for the 40 mile drive home. The coat I am wearing isn't quite enough for the windchill. The check engine light comes on and the engine is running rough. I had a very tense ride home waiting for the truck to die and having to walk. I went to auto-zone where they offer free computer code reading- the guy says it is the map sensor/mixture controls. I start poking around the area and find a nest in there with twigs and stuffing from a pillow I have in my doghouse. What better way to entertain yourself in your new nest than to chew on some wires? Damn squirrel! It should be an easy fix- just splice the wires.
The real question is, why do I have squirrels around my house with six dogs that LOVE to hunt and two cats? How did the squirrel manage to collect the pillow stuffing from the dog house?
