She doesn't like to be picked up at all, but when it's on her terms, she'll use me as a bed for hours and just purr her little heart out :).

And yes, she does love me. She picked me, I didn't pick her. When I adopted her, the lady said that she was super shy and didn't like anybody and would always try to get away from people. But, as soon as she sat in my lap, she started purring and curled up in a ball and fell asleep :).
