5. My boyfriend picked up my engagement ring from the store
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 10:31 PM by NGU
It finally got sized but I won't get it until next week. He is teasing with me by telling me how pretty it is, but I love him anyway. He is a sweetie.

7. George Will.
Can you believe it?

Just a few of the comments he made about the inauguration:

military operation
unworthy
not attractive
banana republic

It's hard to imagine Will saying anything negative about King George. Did it make you question your own ears???

20. The pigs wave as they fly past.
No, I didn't question my ears. This was loud and clear, no mistake. It made me instantly happy. :)

I had a wonderful time watching the inauguration today. Maybe I was lucky, and picked the right channel, but there were so many negative things said by so many people. And it is so nice to be able to say, "George Will said..." and repeat all those negative things. :)

25. Honestly right now I am " blank " .
It should be me keeping his spirits high but its him keeping my spirits high . This month came way too fast . I know the date that he was leaving - at first I did not want to know but the other night over the phone I just asked and he told me and I just cried but I have to keep hope to survive . I trust that his friends and his unit has his back - and I know this is true . I won't share his unit info for security reasons . This is the biggest test of my life ...

22. these are a few of my favorite things (today):
- Going home early from my first day of Physics lab.

- Watching my roommate's DVD of Napoleon Dynamite. Pretty goofy stuff.

- Listening to mp3's I just downloaded from eMusic by an old '80s alt-rock band called Dumptruck.

- Waiting for my big fat paycheck from working extra days during winter break.

- Realizing that the fight to take back our country has just started, and feeling kind of excited about it, truthfully.

I am sure there were moments where ** had some terror that he was gonna be dragged out and beaten to death.

And that thought keeps me happy.

36. Many small things
the sound of wind in the trees, how soft the sky looked all cloudy, the electric blue of my daughter's eyes as she talked to me, the music my husband found on the radio and played for me, and the way he stroked my back as I went to sleep.

A good day.
