Anyone know of any real ghost towns?
I don't mean one that's been turned into a park. I mean a real ghost town. A place that is simply forgotten by everyone, including any historical societies that want to turn it into a tourist site.

4. there is an old mining town in the Ozarks
named Rush. It is nothing more than old mines and about a dozen old buildings still standing, plus a cemetery. There is a small sign pointing to the dirt road leading to the town, but other than that its still as it was. It is a gorgeous location, right next to the Buffalo River. We used to go camping there when I was a kid.

11. Huh, sounds like that area is the place to find them
There's one in the redwoods a little ways from where I live. It's an old abandoned logging town. You have to hike to get there. But technically its a park. It's patrolled by rangers sometimes because people have been known to basically turn it into their home. Kind of takes the mystery out of it.

9. Ummm... our city after 10 o'clock: Re: Curfew
the curfew they started here last year has turned the city into a ghost town after 10pm. Instead of being out in the open, going to restraunts and such, people are indoors. What do they do now, you ask? drugs, mostly.

Yay for curfew... what a great way to make drug addicts!
