7. Uh...why? who wants to know?
Took my facial hair off. My skin has been irritated lately, and besides I look much younger without it. I should go to the doctor to check out why my skin gets irritated when I grow back my van dyke lately, but it's not top priority. I'd had a van dyke since 1983.

14. wanna come up and see it?
I've got it above the landing of my stairs...

I've been using that term since goatee actually refers to just the area below the chin-not the mustache area combined.

Now, wanna see my vermeer?

6. My beard tends to be so gnarly, it develops dreadlocks
I try to comb them out now and then, but it takes a lot of patience.

I did manage to trim a few inches off the bottom of the thing about 5 years ago (for a friend's wedding), so I don't look quite as much like a ZZ-Top tribute band member as I used to.

I shaved once when my oldest two kids were very young (I think 2 and 5) , it scared the hell out of them so I haven't shaved since.

I tried that. Didn't like it. Circa 1967-68, 1st Cav.

For me it's been beard off & on, but mustache continuously since I got it on my military ID in Nam.

38. Bearded (off and on) for years
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 04:27 PM by Prisoner_Number_Six
I've had my moustache since the day after basic training in Aug. '73, and I've had a full beard for a good part of my adult life. I just don't like to look at myself in the mirror too long-- I'm especially handsome, and even I can't keep my eyes off me, so shaving is a pain in the...

I'm modest, too...

39. A crappy goatee
The sides around my lips are bare (no hair grows around there), but if I don't have facial hair, I look like a 12 year old girl. And it's a dark orange color, while my head hair is dark brown, so yeah, I'm pretty freaky looking. :)
