Woman Settles Botched Surgery Suit (oh crap!)

A former Kirkwood resident won a $575,000 settlement this week on a claim that botched hemorrhoid surgery left her permanently injured.

The woman's lawsuit, filed in October 2003 in St. Louis Circuit Court, claims that the doctor who performed the surgery in 2000 removed sphincter muscle in addition to hemorrhoid tissue, leaving her no control over her bowels.

The 43-year-old woman is depressed, "constantly nervous, fearful and anxious," the lawsuit says. She also experiences occasional pain and will never be able to backpack, get in a pool or hot tub, ride a horse or stray far from a bathroom for the rest of her life, according to the suit.

but for what he did to her she should have gotten even more.

she needs a permanent colostomy.

A 75 yo woman got an uncontested award of $1,000,000 from a doc who misdiagnosed, then hid the fact she had cancer, which led to a permanent colostomy for her, here in WA st. I hope the woman in the OP now sues her atty for malpractice...:(
