Question for the cat people re: breeds

I'm trying to find out info on one of my cats, and I have no idea what breed she is.

Best I can explain it, she looks like a pug dog in cat form. She has the pushed-in face and large eyes, and her legs are short and stubby.

Any clue, cat people?

There are also 'oriental shorthairs' that are, essentially, short-haired Persian cats -- well, they have the same face and cobby, short-legged build, but short coats.

Go to Google, click on the 'Image' tab above the search box and type in (in quotes) "persian cat" and you'll get dozens of pictures.

of oriental shorthairs look nothing like my cat, but she does have the Persian features.

Perhaps Persian owners can help too: is it common for smush-faced kitties to have.....snot issues? I don't know how politely I can put it, but she tends to get some nasal hangers-on when she sneezes and unleashes the fury.

Persians commonly have that problem, as do short-nosed dogs.

where I volunteer (two of several, over the past few years I've been there) who had to be watered with those roller bottles they use for guinea pigs because they couldn't (or wouldn't) stick their faces into a bowl to drink water. Also had to be fed on flat plates for the same reason. Many of them have chronic problems with their nasal passages because breeding their noses down like that shortens their tear ducts so much they don't drain properly and their sinuses back up, too.

I was wrong -- they're actually called exotic shorthairs. Oriental shorthairs are the regular-colored cats that look like the currently popular Siamese.

but she's not as fluffy as these cats. Her coat is thick, but short. I'm thinking she's a munchkin version of this breed.

and yes there is a shorthair version, and i can't remember which, american, european or british shorthair could also be mixed in. check out a breed book at the library. I have absolutely no idea what mix my Pansy is. think some abysinnian, maybe a little wirehair, and as she is pushy, a small nubbins of siamese. never could get all of what she must have, but then i have about 6 breeds in me.
